Dream Again

Dream again

I saw this quote above hanging on a wall today by Eleanor Roosevelt and I thought of the divorce journey from grief to survival to joy. It is important to do your very best to not give into the darkness of whatever has happened in your situation.

The past cannot define you unless you allow it to.

I want to encourage you to dream again until you can see a preferred future. If you cannot see it right now ask God to help you and he will.

Remember when there was a time in your life when summer vacation was coming, your birthday was coming, Christmas was coming, baseball season was coming?! it was the dream of a preferred and beautiful future.

I believe grief can be a good thing as we let go of what we thought was going to be and we accept what IS and even what can be.

But it's going to require choices and effort and just raw determination and resilience on your part. Like learning to walk again after you have injured your leg. That leg right now feels like 500 pounds but eventually you will get used to it and you will be able to run again!

Why not start today?

It's time to look in that mirror and tell yourself, "I'm him!"

You got this.

Thankful to be with you on this journey. After all when we were kids didn't the worst adventures turn out to be the very best ones as we look back?
